Until now nobody knows what exactly cause of diabetes type 1, but certainly the main cause of type 1 diabetes is genetic / descent. The risk of evolution type 1 diabetes will be inherited through genetics.
In addition, several other supporting factors in the environment can lead to the development of this type of diabetes. For example, viruses or toxins that enter the body and trigger the immune system to disrupt the production of the hormone insulin in the pancreas.
